When it comes to phone applications, we all have our likes and dislikes. It depends on what we are using them for and if they fit our style. I have tried many photography/photo editing apps but no matter how many I try, I always resort to using the same 6. So today I want to share with you my favorite Top 6 iPhone Photography Apps.
Carrying around a big bulky camera isn’t always a fun idea. It can actually be a bit annoying at times and we do it because we want to capture those special moments. Now, I believe most of us use our photos to capture special moments as well. Plus it’s pretty easy to share them right away unless you have a camera the sends right to your phone.
Now, I am not that lucky but I do believe I can get some awesome shots with my phone. Heck, you can even use your camera photos, and edit them right on your phone if you want. I put mine right into my dropbox from my computer to my phone. But that’s another post. Moving on!
I want to talk to you about my Top 6 iPhone Photography Apps. I love trying new apps and seeing what’s out there. Photography ones are the ones I love the most as I usually edit right on my phone and upload to Instagram. So, let’s see what’s below and why I love the apps that I do.
Color Story – Free
Color Story is the first App I’d like to talk about. You can purchase the different filter packs as well as the effects. I own them all and very much love them all. Right now there are 14 filter packs and 6 effect packs, which includes the starter pack. Above is my original photo of Stripes and below I have 4 different edits that I found worked for this photo. I labeled each photo with the pack name and then the name of the edit I use.
Essential is your basic pack which comes with the app. These are the basic edits and just give your photo the pop that needs. While the other filter packs have more fun. When you purchase a filter back there is a description and what they may be best for it. This makes it helpful when you want a new filter pack and just aren’t sure.
Color Story has a wide range of filters that it can be hard to choose sometimes. You can have so much fun editing. With all the different filters and overlapping you can do, I am sure you could come out with some fun results. But that isn’t all, what about the effects?
The effects are fun as well. They are basic but can add that perfect touch to your photo. You will get the starter pack when you download Color Story which gives you an idea about each pack they have available. I used two effects from the newest package called Glow. If you look above in the photo edits up, I used the last photo with the Chroma – Flatter Me filter. I then added my effects on each side of the photo and this was my result. Which I totally love! Color Story is usually my go-to app when editing photos on my phone.
MOLDIV – Free
MOLDIV is an impressive app. Like Color Story, MOLDIV has a ton of filters and effects. However, this app has a few extra features like beauty editing. This is great for those who love to edit beauty features. Along with the filters and beauty features, MOLDIV has effects such as lens flare, nature, and film burn. On top of that, MOLDIV has other features that anyone who loves editing photos would be very happy with!
Here are a few examples of some filters I like. You can keep is simple or have some fun with the filters and effects. MODIV has a ton of filters and you really can’t go wrong with the app. MOLDIV is a free app with in-app purchases. You can purchase the filter packs and effects. They usually have a deal will you can purchase everything for one price. If you are lucky, you can get it when it’s on sale like I did.
Rhonna Designs – $1.99
Rhonna Designs is one of my favorite Apps. I use this App to create graphics with quotes and add fun text or graphics to my photos. Above are just two simple graphics I made for the purpose of this post. Like most apps, Rhonna Designs has in-app purchases. There are a ton of graphic packs to purchase and usually, you get a ton of graphics for $0.99. You can add text to any photo, you can create any graphic image you’d like. The possibilities with Rhonna Designs is endless
Here are two other examples of how you can use Rhonna Designs. I did these a few years ago and they are just some of my favorites. Rhonna Designs has so many fun graphics. Tons of quotes, shapes, watercolor designs, and so much more! She always has holiday packs too! It’s so much fun to take a photo and just get super creative with all the things you can do. This is a great app for those who love to have fun with their photos!
Rhonna Collage – $1.99
Rhonna Collage is from the same creator of Rhonna Designs. In this app, you have a ton of collage layouts that you can choose from. You can add backgrounds, photos and even videos in your collages! How awesome is that? You can add in some text or if you want, you can import your collage to Rhonna Designs and edit it even further with some fun quotes or graphics.
Little Moments – Free
Little Moments is similar to Rhonna Designs. This app was actually designed by a blogger and I love it. It’s very simple and has some simple and cute graphics you can add to your photos. Of course, there is a section for quotes. She also has a Prompt section so you can follow along in her Photo-A-Day Challange. It’s very easy to use the app and like most apps, it does have in-app purchases. What I love most about Little Moments is the font choices and that the graphics aren’t the same as Rhonna Designs. By having these different apps, I have a wide selection of quotes and graphics to use.
Layout – Free
Layout by Instagram is my favorite Layout App. It’s simple and not over complicated. It doesn’t give you a million choices and you don’t have to purchase anything. You go in, pick your photos, pick from the choices they have and then your done. You can choose a border or no border which is something I love. I have had a few Layout Apps and this one is by far my favorite.
