As a busy working, single mom, I don’t always have the time to make a fancy dessert for my little one. While I am not the biggest fan of cakes and such, my little one is. I get tired of making the same thing over and over so I decided to make a simple cinnamon roll monkey bread. I knew I would enjoy this, plus it was quick and easy, and I was hopeful my son would enjoy it since he does love cinnamon rolls. Top it off with a simple homemade glaze and we were good to go.

I love being in the kitchen cooking and baking. Sometimes it can be a challenge as my son would prefer something to pop in the microwave and call it a day. I fight with him on dinners and doing what I can to make them healthier. But, like anyone, we all enjoy something that hits the sweet tooth and I know I have my sweet cravings too. My son loves cakes and cookies but after a while, I get tired of baking the same cake and the same cookies. I always wanted to make a cinnamon roll monkey cake and figured why not now. I love cinnamon rolls and so does Jaiden so this would be easy and we both could enjoy it.
Why am I showing you a photo of coffee creamer you ask? Well, I love coffee and always have coffee creamer in my fridge. I was introduced to Left Field Farms a few months ago and I fell in love with the Sweet and Creamy version. Now with making this cinnamon roll monkey bread, I was going to need frosting and this is where my coffee creamer comes into play. With this recipe, I used premade cinnamon rolls (I’m not that skillful in the kitchen) and the frosting that comes with them is just way too sweet for my liking. So why not make my own?
Left Field Farms is Non-GMO project verified. I’ve said this before and I will say it again, if I don’t want GMO’s in my food why would cows want it in theirs? There are so many things I love about Left Field Farms but I think one of my favorites is that they treat their cows with kindness and they take pride in being Validus® Animal Welfare Certified. Left Feild Farms Creamer is also made with real milk, cream & sugar! Bonus points!!
Jaiden and I whipped up this delicious cinnamon roll monkey bread along with an easy sweet and creamy glaze. Let’s applaud him for helping me with this awesome shot of our very simple and delicious cinnamon roll monkey bread! He poured the glaze and it was funny. Watching my 11 year old pour the glaze and as it got all over my cake board he goes “Oh, ooh, ooooh, its gonna be a mess!” Needless to say, it was fun and we laughed!
This recipe can’t really get much easier. I start work at 4 am which means my alarm starts going off at 2:30 am. Once I get out of work, I come home and head to the gym, then I’m back home to shower, cook and clean. Adding in baking a desert sometimes just isn’t gonna happen, especially if it’s something that’s gonna take time. That’s what I love about this recipe, prepping takes no time and there’s not much to do. It’s pretty easy!
