And The Veggie Stands Alone

As a child I was not a huge fan of veggies. In fact, I hated them and had no interest in them. But as I got older my taste buds have changed. Then I became a mom and realized I really should learn to love veggies. Now I am 27 years old and I love my veggies. I actually like them more then anything. Weird, I know! =P I love them so much that I will eat them by themselves. I don’t need anything else hence why The Veggie Stands Alone.

So lets talk about veggies and how awesome the New Bird’s Eye Veggies are!

Why the veggies stands alone! Bird’s Eye veggies are already great vegetables. All you have to do if grab a bag of their Steamfresh veggies and pop them in the microwave and you got yourself some amazing veggies. Depending on what you got you may have to add some salt and butter but then you are good to go!

Now, I am a lover of my veggies and a little bit of salt and butter make me a happy girl. However, Bird’s Eye veggies has come out with a new collection of veggies and well, this girl right here is pretty excited!

And-The-Veggie-Stands-Alone_002Now to learn about why The Veggie Stands Alone!!

Bird’s Eye has come out with come awesome flavors and now that I am sitting here thinking about it, I should have photographed the freezer but Walmart was pretty empty… That means these things are good!!!!! =P I decided to go with broccoli because broccoli is my favorite. I also love cauliflower and I am so glad I have it photographed because I can’t spell cauliflower for the life of me! haha. I always forget for some reason. Just one of those words. =P

Anyways, I grabbed Ranch Broccoli and Buffalo Cauliflower! Two of my favorite veggies with some of my favorite flavors! Needles to say I was excited!!

And-The-Veggie-Stands-Alone_003Now, by the look of this you can’t that the broccoli has seasonings on them. However, they had packed full of flavor! I honestly didn’t think I was going to enjoy this because I am really stuck on just adding a little salt and butter to my broccoli and calling it a day. I even buy Bird’s Eye Broccoli and Cheese… Now that is so yummy!!

I was very impressed with the amount of flavor this contained. I really didn’t there was going to be too much and it didn’t have a powerful smell of ranch so I was on the fence. I am happy to report that Bird’s Eye Ranch Broccoli is a success in our house!

And-The-Veggie-Stands-Alone_004I was never interested in cauliflower. I mean the whole thought of it was weird to me and lets be honest, it’s just weird looking. I mean most veggies are weird looking but cauliflower took the cake on its look. Well, thats my opinion anyway! Haha.

Moving on. I finally had cauliflower one day, except, and don’t get made now… It was fried! an AHH AMAZING! I have loved it ever since! Now I only had it fried once but that is how I ended up loving it. Now I just love to eat it like I love my Broccoli, with salt and butter. =) So yummy!

Now, Bird’s Eye has come out with Buffalo Cauliflower and oh my, I am in love! You could smell how powerful the buffalo was going to be for this and I am such a fan of spicy food that I was beyond excited. This is totally me! Anything buffalo is pretty much for me and I am happy to say I loved it and very much enjoyed it! It was very flavorful and I am happy to say I will be purchasing more! I like to eat my veggies and when I am at work these are perfect for lunch. I can just heat them up and I am good to go. I love when the Veggie Stands Alone. LOL, I know I’m a dork

Even the kids loved them!! Now that is saying something!!

And-The-Veggie-Stands-Alone_006I decided to just mix the Ranch Broccoli and Buffalo Cauliflower together. I mean why not? They are just veggies and I love to eat them without anything else so I figured they would be just as equally amazing while together and I was right! Ranch and Buffalo go together as is. Broccoli and Cauliflower go together as well. It was just a match made in heaven if you ask me!

Be sure to check out all the new flavors that Bird’s Eye has introduced! I am telling you, they are worth it!

My husband hates vegetables too!! He avoids them at all costs. When we had kids, I told him he had to eat them to set a good example. Instead he lies to them and tells them he loves them so much he ate them before he got to the table! lol!! He does love Buffalo chicken, so maybe this would entice him to eat them!

I also did not eat vegetables as a child, but eat them now. I know that frozen vegetables contain almost the same amount of nutrients as fresh vegetables so I would definitely be interested in trying these. I think I would like the broccoli and cauliflower one as well.

I’ve always been a fan of veggies, with the exception of peas. They never really floated my boat. I like the idea of flavored frozen veggies, and have tried the Wasabi-flavored peas before, which made me more open to that vegetable.
