A healthy lifestyle can be a bit hard. We are used to eating what we eat and making a complete change to a healthy lifestyle can shock our systems and make us miss all the grease and fat. My personal opinion is to start off slow and gradually change your eating habits. I feel like this one be the best way to make the right changes for yourself and allow you time to process. Rather than putting 6 scoops of sugar in your coffee have 4. Simple and small changes are the way I go and why I wanted to share 6 Tips to Guide you to a Healthy Lifestyle.

I actually love veggies and salads but this isn’t enough to make me a healthy eater. Change out a lunch for nice crisp salad and something healthy for a snack. Small changes, in my onion, are the best way to go. Plus this allows you wiggle room and to see what you like and don’t like. I love to prep, it makes my life easier, but whats right for me, may not be right for you. Take the time to figure out what would work best for you. It takes time.
6 Tips to Guide you to a Healthy Lifestyle.
Changing your lifestyle isn’t an easy task and its not expected to happen overnight. Be gentle on yourself as this is a task that takes a lot of willpower and time. Take it one day at a time and remind yourself you will be okay. Don’t overload yourself with too many changes. Start off small and slowly make more changes are you are comfortable.
Spice is Life.
Eating healthy can sometimes be a little boring. I won’t even lie. However, spices will become your best friend. Try new spices and some new combinations of spices. Look up some of the health benefits of spices as well. You’d be surprised how many of them have health benefits and will bring your food to life!
I feel like this is one of the more important things. Planning ahead will give you control and reduce the unhealthy picking we do. I like to prep my meals either for the week or the night before. This is a way for me to grab what I have already prepped, rather than picking up something unhealthy. I love my Rubbermaid BRILLIANCE containers for this reason. My meals and snacks stay sealed and secured which keeps them nice and fresh.
One problem can be eating too fast. You need to slow down and pace yourself. Enjoy the food and allow yourself to actually taste what you are eating. Eating too fast can cause you to actually overeat because your brain hasn’t had the change to tell you that you’re full. So be sure to slow down or before you know it, you will be too full.
Don’t give up.
We all fall off the lifestyle change bandwagon and it’s okay. I fall off all the time! What matters, is getting back on. The reality is, we all love our junk food and it’s okay if you fall off. Long as you choose to get back on, then you are on the right path. Even when your at the point of “I don’t want to do this anymore”, don’t give up. You will get past that stage and be happy you didn’t quit. Remind yourself of all the reasons you started.
Setting small goes is important. Lifestyle changes happen for many reasons so whatever your reason, set goals. When you meet these goals rewards yourself. You can maybe indulge in a treat or buy yourself something new. Whichever you’d prefer. Rewards make us happy, so be happy!
