My Slow Cooker is my best friend when it comes to the kitchen and I want to share with you a super simple and easy dinner to make!
Cooking can be such a consuming task. Between work, home, chores and everything else in between, cooking is just one of those things we all UGH over from time to time. This is why I truly love my slow cooker! Most of the time I can just throw all the ingredients in and call it a day. As a single working mom, the Slow Cooker is my best friend!
Slow Cooker Beef and Cheese Pasta is seriously one of the easiest dishes I have ever made! I cooked my meat and pasta on the stove top while I started on my sauce in the slow cooker. I tossed all my ingredients on the slow cooker except the pasta and left it marinate for hours on low. The smell that came from my kitchen was so amazing!
The best part about using the slow cooker is I was able to shower, fold laundry, and clean the house all while dinner was cooking in the kitchen.
In my Slow Cooker, I started off with some regular store-bought sauce. While the pasta and meat were cooking on the stove top I decided to spice up this sauce and make it amazing! I love chunks of tomatoes in my sauce so, of course, they were tossed in as well as a sliced up onion. I added a pinch of sea salt and black pepper. Always need Sea Salt and Black Pepper when you’re cooking. No excuse! Haha. After that, I added paprika, oregano, and some basil. I only added a little here and there until I felt like the flavor what just right.
Once the meat and pasta were done cooking, I tossed the meat in the slow cooker with the sauce. The pasta I put in the over covered. You don’t want to toss it in too early or it will become soggy and no one likes soggy pasta! I stirred the meat into the pasta, added just a bit of cheese and let that marinate throughout the day while I stirred here and there. About 30 minutes before dinner, I dropped the pasta in, mixed it all together and loaded it with tons of Mozzarella Cheese. And then we ate it.
