Review: Terra Vonnel and the Skulls of Aries

September 4, 2013

I was given the chance to read and review Terra Vonnel and the Skulls of Aries. This is another book by D.C Akers and I couldn’t be more excited!

“Terra Vonnel and the Skulls of Aries; a thrilling high-seas adventure seen through the eyes of seventeen year old pirate Terra Vonnel, better known as the Sea Vixen. The roguish, yet charming girl has finally found one of the legendary Skulls of Aries, the greatest mystery known to man. With time running out she must now steal the remaining Skull from her vicious vampire nemesis, Count Dragos, and travel to Mount Aries to unlock the Gate of Monticule, which holds the Orb of Time. But what the Sea Vixen and her valiant crew do not know is something waits for them in the shadows of Mount Aries- something so unimaginable that no one has lived to tell about it. Full of excitement, the Skulls of Aries is an epic, breathtaking voyage packed with suspense-filled adventure, sword-clashing action, mystery and unforgettable characters!”

I love a good book. It can be extremely long or short. Either which way, when a book is so good I can’t put it down till I am done; you know it’s worth talking about.

As I started to read this book it was again that I was sucked right in from the beginning. So much was happening. Terra had plans and she knew what she wanted. She was on the hunt for the Skulls of Aries which when together they will unlock a treasure that only few could dream of. It will change her future but will also change her past.

Packed with action and adventure this was a easy read. Roughly about 110 pages printed. There seem to be no time frame in this book. I couldn’t tell if this was all done in one day or one week.

I highly recommend this book. I’m not going to leave any spoilers but if you pirates and adventure this truly is the book for you! I couldn’t put it down! Just another great book from D.C. Akers!!

I love reading books, but now I have to stop because of my migraine. But if I am well and I am okay to do reading I will buy this book.

I rarely read books due to being a busy mum, but you make this seem like a must-read book! I really should relax more in the evenings once the kids are in bed, and this might be the book to do it! Thank you x

I am STILL reading an ‘adult’ book (Seuss doesn’t count, right?) since last Christmas. I’ll make a mental note of this one, though! Thanks!

I love reading books as well. If a book really sucks me in I can be done in less than a day no matter how many pages. I forget everything else. Sounds like a good read for those into pirates and adventures.

I am a big reader – I’m interested in checking this out, but wonder how I will feel about the ‘no time line’ thing, I like things that mark the passage of time.
