Review: Prize Candle

April 11, 2014

Who here loves candles??

I know I do! I love anything that makes my home smell amazing! If you follow my blog you already know I am HUGE Scentsy fan! haha!! But let me tell you about Prize Candle!

To put it simply… It’s a candle with a prize! =DPrizeCandle_001

In all seriousness, I love candles! I love anything that will fill a room with an amazing scent and just make it fresh and clean. Prize Candle does that but it gives you a prize as well! Who wouldn’t love having a candle that once it melts a bit you are able to get a nice little gift?

Inside this candle is a prize ranging from $10 to $5,000!!!! That is amazing! There is a chance you could have a $5,000 prize inside this candle! How awesome is that?

Now, when I got this candle I couldn’t wait to light it up! And that is not because of the prize!! Blue Cypress smells amazing!!! My entire bedroom just filled up with this amazing scent!! You would open the door to come down to my room and you could smell it instantly! It was strong and just simply amazing!

Prize Candles are a Eco-Conscious candle that is all natural soy! I personally have fallen in love with soy candles more then candles using other waxes. I feel like they burn better then other waxes.

On the back of the candle you will have a sticker just like you see in the photo above. This sticker is there to show you where your prize is. If you look to the left of the sticker you can see the dent from the bag the prize is in. I like that they give you an idea as to where your prize is. Though I was stalking the candle just waiting for it to get to that point! Hahaha!!

Me and my son were sitting there with butter knife in hand ready to dig! HAHA I have no patience what so ever! I was so ready to just dig it out and open it up to see what I had gotten! I know, I’m horrible! hahaha

The Prize Candle burned so nicely just like I thought it would since it is a Soy Candle. It was a smooth burn and when I would light it up again I made sure that I cut the wick to ensure that the flame wouldn’t get too high and that my glass would be free of black yucky ness!!!

As you can see if the photo above the little baggy was sticking out!! I was already inpatient and with butter knife in hand but this was the topping to the cake!!! Hahah!!

Soy candles burn nicely and not to fast either so I really became eager to get in there to see what the prize wise. It’s like Christmas morning when you wake up before your parents and you know you have to wait till a certain time before you are allowed to wake them up… Hahahaha!!! Can you tell how excited I was?? Lol

Eeeeeek, this is my prize!!!
Now when you get your prize there is a code it comes with that you can type in on their website to see the value!  Now my ring was only $10 but it was still so exciting to get a little gift inside my candle! It really is a beautiful ring! Even though it is worth nothing it is tasteful and very pretty!

Here is a side view of this baby! I don’t wear it because it is too big for me but it is beautiful and I have it here on my desk! =)
I highly recommend Prize Candlesas they make for amazing gifts! You have Easter and Mother’s Day coming up and these would be perfect gifts for your loved ones! It’s not just a candle! It’s something more!

Be sure to check them out! I can not express how much I loved my candle and I can not wait till I get another one! =D

I can’t burn candles in my apartment due to my cat. That was a nice little gift you got–but you better learn some patience!!

You wrote such a fun story. I would have been just as impatient as you were. I’m glad you didn’t burn your fingers getting your prize.

I am real fun of night lights, night glows, stars and any sparkles at night – especially candles, scented candles or tea light but because our season now is summer and it is hot even at night I prefer to use battery operated flameless candle- it mimics the light of the candle minus the scents.

I like the way you presented this candle product with pictures. I’ve heard of similar things and I think the surprise part is really catchy. I don’t see myself buying this for my family but perhaps as a gift. Thank you for sharing!

I only heard about these candles just recently. I have been pondering about what to give my mother and mother-in-law for Mother’s Day. These would make nice gifts for them.

This candle looks amazing! Love the prize inside it! Eventhoug the value of your ring was only $10 it still looks very pretty and I would have guessed that its value is much higher then 10$.

I love the surprise element of these candles. My mom has mentioned wanting one for mother’s day, I think that’s what I am going to get her.

I’ve been so curious about candles with prizes inside of them. Especially if they are fancy looking pieces of jewelry like that!

No one ever gets the ring that’s worth 5k.. This is basically like diamond candles, I rather stick to my Scentsy, but the ring is nice though.

    Hi Amanda,

I can relate to your experience in how the aroma of any candle sets the mood for any situation. Isn’t that just powerful on how our senses work and how we are able to enjoy this experience? I have never tried this “Prize Candle” but will surely keep this in mind. Having a candle with a prize at the bottom worth $5 – $5,000 is just amazing. Who would think of such a thing? Thanks to you Amanda I have now able to keep this idea in mind because I surely need a candle of some sort. Next time I go shopping for a candle I will visit your website. Thanks again and may your blog be blessed.

Is there a difference between a circle sticker and a rectangle sticker? Just wondering if maybe one or the other means a value of the ring inside or not?
