Review: Mira Kitchen Scale

November 19, 2013

One thing we often use in my house is a kitchen scale. We like to buy some food items in a bigger bulk and break them down for multiple meals. I was given the chance to review the Mira Kitchen Scale and now I want to tell you all about it!!

Mira_001

The Mira Kitchen Scale if a thin and very modern kitchen scale.  I didn’t know this until I got it but it has no buttons. Its all touch. Talk about love!! =) I know…. WOW, no buttons?? whats the big deal?? It’s food… Stuff spills and food can get stuck so no buttons makes for a easy clean up!!!

Mira_002
Here you have the on and off button. To turn off you have to hold the button down a bit longer for it to shut off. We also have the tare on this side. If you don’t know what a tare is let me explain. Say you need to measure some type of liquid for something, clearly you need to put the liquid in some type of cup or container… lets hope no one actually try’s to pour the liquid on the scale it’s self… lol. Anyways, the tare would be the weight of the container you are putting the liquid in.

When you add in a tear it will subtract the weight of the container giving you the accurate weight of the liquid. This is something you see a lot at delis. You go in and they do have a tare for the paper they put the lunch meat on and the containers they put the salad’s in. I know some people think they don’t, but they do!

Here we have the unit button. Unit is for the way you want to measure what you are putting on the scale. You can choose pounds, ounces, kilograms, and grams. So you can measure anything you want in whatever way you really want! =)

Mira_004
The number on the screen are large and bright. There wont be any issues with having to read an older type scale with the needle or anything. You get the exact weight and you are able to read it!! You really can’t go wrong with this baby!!

As I said, we like to buy some items in bigger bulk like ground beef or chicken. This really makes it easier to separate and plan the meals we are going to have for the month. One meal we may need 1lb of ground beef and another we may need 1.5lbs. Having this scale we can separate the meat, pack it, and tag it with the weight! Make’s extremely easy to plan the meals out for a busy house hold. No more guessing!!!

Want to know something else that is amazing!!! Today is the 18th on November and I looked on amazon.. The scale is on sale for ONLY 19.99 and it’s normally 54.99!!! That is an AMAZING steal!!!!! Get it for this price while you can!!!
GO HERE TO BUY!!!!!

Sorry about not having pictures in use! I totally spaced out and forget to get them. If you would like me to get those photos for you, please comment and let me know and I will be sure to come back and post them! =D

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I have a kitchen scale at home, too. It’s the conventional one, not as nice as yours. I’m planning to change mine soon. I need more accuracy in my measurements – for cooking and on days when I’m counting calories.

It is great for those who are counting calories. I used it when I was only aloud so many ounces of meat and such. =)

This kitchen scale looks great. I wonder about the battery of the digital device. How long does it last?

Looks like a great scale. I don’t use a scale. I don’t weigh my food. I simply use smaller plates to scale down portion sizes.

This looks a great kitchen scale. I like how flat it is so it would be easy to store and not take up much room. I use my scale everyday. It’s a very important tool for me.

It looks too nice to be a kitchen scale! I’ve held off on purchasing a scale because they’re either too expensive or cheaply made. Mira looks promising. Thanks for the review!

I love using a kitchen scale. It really helps to keep portions in control. The only problem with most of them is that they’re clunky and unattractive. This one is sleek and stylish. I’ll have to start searching for this bad boy immediately.

$19.99 seems like the right price for this product. It looks great but 50$ is incredibly expensive for a regular price!

My husband wants to have a kitchen scale. He makes burgers and he wanted to make sure they are equally divided and the amount is right. The last time he made one the patties were too thick.

We use our kitchen scale several times a week. That’s funny to me since I didn’t think we needed one (until we got it). :)

This is a great idea when you buy in bulk. My wife went to school to be a chef and could use something like this.

This is a great idea (no buttons). I use my scale often enough and the buttons can definitely become a pain.
