Review: Alphabet Aliens Adventure

December 1, 2013

As most of you have seen I have been really leaning towards children’s products and books.
I am a reader and one thing I really want my son to love is reading.

I was given the chance to read a new series of books with Jaiden.
‘Alphabet Aliens Adventure’

Right now there is 3 books out. You have Alphie, Bebe, & Coco.

We received all three and I can not express how much I enjoyed reading these with my son!

I love to read! I mean I read Harry Potter over and over again and at one point when I choose to read them all again it took me a week to read all of the books. I just love the information gathered from books. I love being able to just consume all the words!

Naturally, I want my son to do great in life and if there is one thing I want my son to get from me, it’s my love for reading! I want him to sit and just read and read some more. Words are a powerful tool and can take you far in life if you know enough of them and their meaning! Words are knowledge!!!

Jaiden was so thrilled about these books. I mean what little boy doesn’t love the thought of Aliens?? hahahaha

Something else I thought was great with these books is that some letters have different sounds and with books like these a child is able to understand that even though 2 different words start with the same letter, that the have a different sound.

This is something I find to be great for my son because of his speech problem. It really pushes him to try a pronounce the sounds correctly. My son is a perfectionist and gets upset easily when something isn’t correct. So this is something that we can work on at home where he is comfortable and not feel so stressed.

Each book has so many words that begin with that letter that when we are reading I can ask him to say some of the words and we can work on the correct way to say them. It’s important that us, as parents work with our children no matter how stressful it is.

I know I get stressed. This is where we walk away for a few minutes, take a breath and come back to help them. I know it’s not easy and I am telling you this because there are days I just want to do my sons homework because it’s like talking to a wall.

I have to remind myself that he is only 5 and I got 20 years on him. Talk about feeling bad for my parents…lol

This illustrations are very retro and very today! That are very well done and totally adorable. The colors are bold and would appeal to any child at any age.  Pictures are what attract people to a product and these are just adorable!

They are very well done. This stand out and are nicely sized. They are clean and very colorful! I mean what more could a child ask for in a book? My son was in love with the pictures! He was so exciting pointing out all the things and colors he saw!!!

In the back of each book there is a section for tricky words. It’s a list of words that might be a little tricky to your children. So it will list the word and the meaning.

I mean how cool is that?? There is no looking for words in a dictionary or googling them.  They are right there for you in the back so you can show your little one with ease!!

At the beginning of each book there is a page just like this one. It’s basically a mini bio of the character you are about to read about! I think this is such an adorable idea. It tells you about the character you are about to read about. Gives you the basics about them and then you get to hear a story about that character. I thought this was such a smart idea!! Gives your child more knowledge on the character!!

It’s a short book so it’s not like you have chapters beyond chapters to read to get those details about them. It’s all right there for you! It’s all right there for your child!

We had to stop reading so my son could count! I was so happy that he wanted to count! =D
He makes me such a proud mama!!!

I am so proud of Jaiden!

He wanted to read each book back to back! He is always looking through them and looking at the pictures!
As I said, I really want my son to develop my love for reading and I think we are headed down that path! He is always picking a book up and going through them! Makes me so happy!

I am in love with this series. There are many reasons why I love it but the reason I love it so much…
Is because my son loves it! He smiled and laughed when we read these and that.. that is all I want, all I ask for.
Hearing my son laugh is the most amazing part about being a mom.

Such joy in such a small person!
I hope that we will be able to review the entire series for you all one day!
My son really enjoyed these books and told me to tell you all he gives them two thumbs up!

I highly recommend these books to you so be sure to check them out on their website!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Sounds like a really great series. I love when kids love to read. My toddler loves to read and is always bringing a book to be read to. My boys used to love reading but I’ve noticed that they’re now more into other things. :(

It is sad to see that the habit of reading is not that popular anymore. With all the high tech toys and gadgets, children tend to favor them over books. When I was in 4th grade, I won a reading award (having read the most number of books in a school year). I wish my kids had the same passion for reading as me. (They don’t). You and your son sure had a good bonding time together, going over those books. Continue to guide him to value the habit of reading. Thanks for sharing.

It’s so awesome to get kids interesting in reading early, especially with something they could really enjoy. I am going to pick up these books for my kiddos, I bet my four year old will love the pictures and love taking the adventure with the aliens.

Your little boy is so lucky to have such a good and fun mom! You’re so right about needing to walk away and decompress for a moment. I used to have to do it as a teacher frequently!!!

These sound like great books. I too am a big reader and so is my brother. I attribute this to always seeing our mom read and her encouraging us to read. Reading is a great thing.

You have a beautiful Son and well, you are just my kind of girl!
I love reading that me and my kid brother can tell the story of Harry potter over and over again. We have read it over 10 times and still enjoy it once in a while.

Another book that i love to death is the ‘earth children’
And you have good commands of words! I love the review, thank you.
