As a woman in today’s society I feel like I am always being pressured. The world has this ideal image of a woman who she be a perfect size, perfect height, and the perfect skin. The thing is, it’s just not realistic. I am unique. I am not supposed to be the same as everyone else and there is no such thing as perfect.
Being a single working mom I get stressed out pretty easy. This stress induces break outs and I have a bit of a habit of picking and making it worse. Well the chance came up to try Proactiv and I was excited and thought this would be great if it helped me!
Ive heard of Proactiv back when I was a teenager. I never had a bad acne problem, but I get my fair share of blemishes and pimples. I try not to let them bother me, however, there are days when the bigger more noticeable ones make me wonder.
I am a huge fan of being yourself and learning to accept yourself. One thing I can say is I am pretty okay with my skin. I don’t wear cover-up as it makes me feel gross. I feel like my pores are clogged and my face can’t breathe. I don’t even know if that makes sense. Haha. Even with me being okay with my skin, I still wanted to improve things where I could, and that is where Proactiv comes in.
Impression #01: The box my Proactiv came in was just fine. I wasn’t looking for some special case or bag to have it in. The box has plastic in the bottom so each product has a home. On the inside of the lid are instructions on how to use Proactiv. This was great as there is no fumbling around with a small booklet with small print. Everything is right there.
Impression 02#: Product Design is simple and instructions were easy to understand.
Impression 03#: I liked that they suggest trying the product out in a small spot before fully using. Everyone has different skin types and reacts differently to products. Doing the sensativity test is a must!
Impression #04: Smell…. There really isn’t a special smell to these products. It reminds me of a very basic lotion smell.
Impression #05: Renewing Cleanser – I like the texture of step one. It’s a bit grainy like sand and feels nice on my skin. It wasn’t too rough which I found to be amazing.
Revitalizing Toner – Love the feeling of step two. I put some on a cotton pad and it feels so cool against my skin.
Repairing Treatment – The feeling is simple. A very light weight cream and my pores feel free.
Overall Impression: After I did my sensitivity test for 3 day, morning and night, I was happy. I could feel the different from my right side where I did not test and my left side where I did. I did a test on my jaw line by my ear. I felt this was the perfect spot as it’s on the side and if I were to have a reaction, my hair would his the results.
Once my sensitivity test was completed I was ready to start using my Proactiv daily. Now I will be back in a month or so to tell you all about my final impression and if Proactiv worked for me. I am excited to see how everything turns out.

I included these two image above to show you that just like you, I have blemishes and pimples. It’s okay! It’s part of life and life happens.
Remember that we are beautiful with or without pimples! They are marks that I am living. I am living my life and not worried about covering up a red dot on my face.
Be Beautiful! Be You! And Shine on!
