Nestle Toll House Spring Cookies and Family Fun

Spring is right around the corner and I don’t know about you but I am BEYOND excited! I don’t mind the cold so much, but I walk my son to school and walking in 3 degrees with a windchill that puts us in the negatives is horrible. Thankfully the school is only like 5/10 mins from my house depending in how fast you walk. Haha.

With spring around the corner we all want to try new recipes and make some of the family favorites!
What better way to start spring off than with some cookies and family fun!

We love some chocolate chip cookies over here. Actually every year at Christmas my mom makes her cookies from scratch using Nestle Toll House Morsels. As much as I love making cookies from scratch, this was a bit on the easier side and who doesn’t love when things are easy? I choose to use Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

I wanted to make some drizzle frosting so Jaiden can have some fun and drizzle frosting over his cookies. I don’t remember the exact measurements I used for the frosting as I kind of just improvised until I got the taste and consistency I want. I used Powdered Sugar, Butter, Little bit of Milk, and Cream Cheese.

I then dyed it the colors I wanted. It was supposed to be blue and a coral color but it came out a bit darker then planned. Oops.
However, I believe the colors turned out nice and Jaiden was very excited to have fun!

Jaiden and I had a blast decorating our Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies for spring.

I think it’s very important to allow your little ones into the kitchen and learn the process of cooking and baking so that when they are older and they do head out into the world on their own they won’t have to live off of microwavable foods. I understand budget wise they may but incase mom drops by with a bag of goodies your not so little one will know what to do.

When it comes to baking I know sometimes we like to have items that look nice like they just popped off the food network channel right into our homes right? But the thing is, let your kids in, let them try and let them have fun. They don’t have to be perfect or photo presentable because what you are doing is creating those perfect memories!

Life is short and besides caring for our children and giving them those material items they all want and need, the best thing that you can do for them is give them life long lasting memories! At the end of the day, that is what they will remember and want to create with their children.

Jaiden was so excited when I told him I had baked some cookies and when we got home from school he could decorate them.
Now, my idea may not have been the most creative but it was fun and we had a blast. Now be sure to head on over to Nestle Toll Houses Website and check out all the ideas they have!

Also be sure to check out their Nestle Toll House Rolled and Ready dough sheets. They are pretty cool for cutting out shapes which you know kids will love!! You can find Nestle Toll House goodies at you local super market in the refrigerated section.

I can’t wait for Spring, either. We love baking in our house and we always use Nestle Toll House. We actually just made some light and dark blue chocolate covered pretzels for my son’s birthday–so easy and fun to do!

You’re speaking my language! This looks like an amazing recipe to make, and we always have Nestle Toll House cookies at our family get togethers and parties. I never thought to add a bit of frosting! I have never made frosting on my own, but I have made my own whipped cream. They taste so much better homemade don’t they?!

I was just tempted to bring home a package of those Tollhouse ready to bake cookies; my sweetie loves these. It’s so cool that they are versatile and you can use these to make other sweet treats. This recipe looks especially fun for the kiddies.

I haven’t had toll house cookies in forever or any baked goods for that matter. Yea this weather has been insane over the last month. From below zero temps, to piles of snow, then last week was decent and over the weekend it was in the 80s. Like seriously? lol.
