The three magical words that can pretty much melt anyone’s heart… I love you!
But How often do you say I Love You?
The first time your little one looks up at you and says I love you, your heart melts and you know what true love is!
The moments your siblings say I love you, you know it’s true!
When your parents tell you over and over that they love you, it might be annoying, but you know it’s true!
So, I’m wondering, How often do you say I love you?
Something that I have learned while growing up is that no matter what situation you are in, no matter who you are fighting with or not speaking to, you should always find a way to let them know you love them. Tomorrow is not promised, it may never come for some of us and we need to remember this!
I don’t want to die tomorrow and not have said I love you to those who matter! I am only 26 years old and I am so far from anything close to perfect! I mean I can write a book on all the mistakes I have made in life, but the one thing I do, is tell my son, everyday, all day, that I love him! Because if tomorrow comes and I am not here I want him to know that he was my everything and that I loved him!
Jaiden is my life. He is my everything I would kill for him, I would die for him, I would do anything for him! He’s my life!
This is my mom. A few years back we took a trip to visit her parents grave site. Now she doesn’t go often because she doesn’t really have the time and it’s painful. I think it would be painful for anyone to put themselves through this by visiting often. Well, I believe for some it could be painful, like for my mom or some it can comforting that they have a place to go.
My mom and I have sure had our differences. We have not always had the greatest relationship and as a child I was not very nice when my dad and her separated. I recall a time when I was pretty young and I didn’t speak to her for over a month. She had started seeing someone and it hurt! She was supposed to be with my dad! However, I got older and I grew up and I have learned a lot and still have a lot to learn.
My mom has expressed to me that when she was growing up her parents didn’t say I love you! That broke my heart because despite our differences and the arguments we have had she always made sure to tell me that she loved me. Which is why I say it so much to Jaiden! I have too. I can’t go a moment without letting him know that I do love him!
Jaiden can leave my room and go to his and I will say I love you, I love you when I drop him off at school, I love you when I pick him up, I love you when I go to the store, its I love you all day, everyday!
My mom was only 31 when her mom passed and 35 when her father passed. She was young, too young if you ask me! So much was left unsaid in their relationship that she feels guilty. This is why, no matter what the situation is, you have to remember tomorrow isn’t promised! You cannot say for sure you will be here. Now I know that is not something anyone really wants to think about but it’s the truth.
This is a head stone near my grandparents and this is a perfect example. Stewart was only 2 or 3 years old when he passed away. Tomorrow isn’t promised. It doesn’t matter what you may be fighting about. People fight and make up but the thing is some people don’t always have the chance to make up. That is horrible. One day your best friend is here and you’re fighting and the next day they are gone. Tell them you love them!!!!
It doesn’t matter what your children do! You always have to remind them no matter the situation, you love them! Don’t ever let them forget that you love them! You can be disappointed, hurt, or mad at them and you can let them know how angry you are, but remember to remind them that even though you are angry, you still love them!
You’re fighting with your best friend over probably something so stupid, but still, she’s your best friend! A simple ‘I know were fighting, but I still love you’ can go a LONG way!
It doesn’t matter what you have going on in your life, be sure to tell those you love that you love them! You don’t want to wake up tomorrow and not have had to chance to tell someone you loved them just one more time! A simple text, that takes a whole 5 seconds will mean something to them! I know it does to me. Jaiden will text me from his kindle with a heart and my heart melts.
For all of you out there, the ones supporting my blog and who have helped me get to where I am today and will me get even further tomorrow… We love you! Jaiden and I love you! We are thankful for you! Because of you and your support, I have what I think is a pretty awesome blog!
A simple I love you can change someone’s day, just like it could change yours!
Picture yourself sitting at your desk working and your phone goes off. You see a text from someone you haven’t spoken too in however long and all it reads is “Just wanted you to know that I love you!”, You can’t tell me that won’t make you smile, because it would make me smile.
Send a letter to your mom. Just write I love you and drop it in the mailbox. She will hold onto that forever!
Tomorrow isn’t promised so tell those you love that you love them!
So, How often do you say I love you?
My opinion, you can never say it too much! Say it often and say it proudly! Say it, text it, write it, sign it, email it, or record it! It doesn’t matter how you say it or show it, just remember to do so. <3
