Step 01: Pick out your ribbon of choice and then start to add some glue around the entire side of your tin but only the width of your ribbon. If you look in my photo you can see I didn’t put the glue everywhere. Only on a half of the space available as this was the width of my ribbon.

TIP 01: Take the lid off before doing this part! Haha. I ended up with glue all over when trying to get the lid off later. Oops.

Step 02: Start putting your ribbon on. As you go around the tin make sure you hold the end that is already glued on in place. The glue doesn’t dry that fast so holding this in place will help with a nice even ribbon laid around the tin.

This is where Tip 01 comes in. Making sure the Lid is off will allow for you to NOT mess up your ribbon like I did. It was easily fixable, but still, nonetheless, I messed it up! Haha

Step 03: You will want to add glue to the inside and the sides of your tin. Be sure to spread around as evenly as possible.

Tip 02: A little can go a long way depending on the kind of glue you are using.

Step 10: Once you have found the middle of your twine, start wrapping the twine around your tin. You till want the middle of your twine to be on the bottom so your bow is right on top.

This did turn out cute and I love your creativity! This would also be cute for memory items that I was afraid of loosing like small things given to me by loved ones or the key to my first car. The possibilities are endless and I love the tin you chose and will look for those.

This looks like such an adorable craft. My boys get so excited for Christmas and love ornaments….they especially love BREAKING ornaments, unfortunately. It looks like this craft would not only keep them busy but last year after year. Can’t wait to try it out!

Totally adorable! I think it could be a great project to do with the kids. Maybe having them select the little figure they want to place inside. Would be great as a little something extra when giving out gifts.
