Father’s day is fast approaching and I don’t know what the means for some of you, but for me that means embarking on some of the great memories I have had with my father. I don’t get to see him as often as i’d like but that is just life at the moment. Thanks to Condiment Connection I am having some great memories of me and my dad.

Condiment-Connection_001I am sure you are asking how can Condiment Connection remind me of my father? I would be. It’s not so much because of Condiment Connection but what I chose to make using Condiment Connection. Therefore, I am thinking of my daddy! =P Plus a lot of food reminds me of my dad since we have almost the same taste and enjoy the same things. =)

Condiment-Connection_015This is my dad and Jaiden back in 2013. I seriously love these two more then I can begin to express in words. I will always be a Daddy’s girl. I secretly always want my dad’s approval. This photo is what love is all about!

This is how I came to reminisce on memories with my dad. As I had said, me and my dad were a lot alike. We enjoyed all the same foods and loved all the same foods. One of the things we always enjoyed was Grilled Cheese. We are huge fans of cheese so Grilled Cheese was our thing! Hehe. Thanks to Condiment Connection I was able to create our beloved Grilled Cheese with an added twist.

Condiment Connection Buffalo Style and Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Serving Size: 6

Ingredients

  • 2 Halves of Chicken Breast
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Pinch of Pepper
  • 1/4 Cup of oil
  • 6 Tablespoons of Butter
  • 1/2 Cup of Anchor Bar Original Buffalo Wing Sauce
  • 1 Loaf of French Bread
  • 6 Slices of Mozzarella Cheese

Instructions

  1. With your frying pan over medium/low heat, add 1 tablespoon of butter and oil.
  2. While your butter and oil are heating up, season your chicken breast with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Once frying pan is heated, lay your chicken breast down and leave it sit for about 5 minutes. Turn your heat up a notch or two. This step may take less or more time. You want to get a nice golden brown crust on your chicken.
  4. Flip your chicken breast when you have developed a nice golden crust on the other side. Make two or three slices in your chicken to allow them to open up. Place your lid on the frying pan and turn your burner down a notch.
  5. Once your chicken has been cooked all the way threw, add them to a plate or bowl and begin shredding with two forks.
  6. Once all your chicken has been shredded add it all back into the frying pan. Add in the 1 tablespoon of butter and half a cup of Anchor Bar Original Buffalo Wing Sauce. Cook on low fore a few minutes. This will allow the chicken to absorb the wing sauce. Once done, place all chicken in bowl.
  7. Slice your French Bread according to your likeness and begin to butter the outsides.
  8. Now that your bread is bettered, turn your frying pan on low/meduim and place your first slice down and begin to load it up with chicken. Top with your Mozzarella Cheese and place the top piece of bread on.
  9. Now that your Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese is all set up, flip once your bottom is golden brown. Then repeat to make the rest and of course... Enjoy! =D

Isn’t it funny how certain foods spark memories! My hubby’s Strawberry Cake makes me think of my Dad. He loved and requested it at Easter every year. I’m putting a chicken grilled cheese on our summer menu immediately!!

I just recently started to try new condiments myself. I found out that I like spicier foods than I would have thought. It is always good to be trying new things.

This looks like a great recipe to try with those condiments. I haven’t tried them yet, will see if they are too spicy for me or not.

Grilled cheese is one of the best comfort foods. And since hot sauce is a fave around this house, I think this would be a big hit with my family. I can’t wait to try this.

Fun! I’ve seen the Condiment Connection bundles and thought a Chicago or NY one would be awesome because we’ve visited both cities. I’ve never been to Buffalo, but the condiments look great!
